New attractant formulation for Thrips

Otiorhynchus sulcatus

Omnilure Thrips species
General thrips attractant

Thrips have surged to prominence as insect pests of field, plantation and glasshouse crops in many countries, associated with increased international trade in fresh vegetables, fruit, flowers and plant propagation material. They can cause direct feeding damage to the aerial parts of plants, resulting in yield loss and spoilage, and some are vectors of destructive plant viruses. Their minute size and secretive habits make them particularly difficult to detect and control.

Omnilure thrips is a controlled release dispenser with a potent attractant to attract several species of thrips towards blue or yellow sticky cards.

This product can be applied in all crops (sweet pepper, eggplant, rose, gerbera, Philodendron, headed cabbage, leek etc.). The odour catches, depending on the circumstances, 2 to 20 times more thrips on blue or yellow sticky traps compared to sticky traps without odour.

Omnilure thrips is attractive for several thrips species like Frankliniella occidentalis and Thrips tabaci, Frankliniella schultzei, Hydatothrips adolfifriderici, Megalurothrips sjostedti, Thrips coloratus, Thrips imagines, Thrips major, Thrips obscuratus, Thrips palmi.
